How to create a Phone Verified Account

Phone Verified Account (PVA) is required to post ads in the USA or Canada craig's list cities.
How to create a Phone Verified craigslist Account:
  1. Go to the account signup form to create an free CL account. You will need a valid email address to create an account on CL.
  2. Then try to post an ad under any service category in any city of USA or Canada. Craigslist will ask you for Phone Authentication. Just follow those steps.
Few tips regarding CL PVA:
  • You should post only one ad per PVA on every 48 hours interval.
  • You need US or Canadian land phone number to create a CL PVA. VOIP numbers will not work at all.

    After you have logged in to your CL account you can directly go to the page https://accounts.craigslist.org/login/phnact for phone authentication.

    You can use anyones phone, but you need to get the code from them. It can be also sent to a cell phone as SMS. Vonage phone lines cannot be verified though

    You shouldn't use phone number of another person without their permission to create CL PVA.
